Participants progress from concrete to abstract though fun, handson activities. We begin in the Concrete Stage by programming a small cube KaiBot, making predictions and checking outcomes. Everyone is given an entry point to coding, regardless of ability level. Moving to the Concrete/Abstract Stage, the Kaibot on the floor mirrors a virtual KaiBot on the computer screen. Participants are given free access to a virtual Kaibot to take with them.. Finally, in the abstract stage, learners transition to Block Codings and beyond if they wish to solve mazes and design shapes resulting in confidence and a deeper understanding of coding..
