| Chris and his wife Monica homeschooled their three daughters all the way through high school. Together, Chris and Monica founded the largest homeschooling support group in Silicon Valley, All Ways Learning, where they served for over ten years. Chris also served for five years as the founding president of the California Homeschool Network, a statewide homeschooling organization whose mission is to protect the fundamental right of parents to educate their children in the manner they deem appropriate without interference by federal, state, or local agencies. He is the author of a number of articles on homeschooling, including “The Seduction of Homeschooling Families,” “Toward An Educational Renaissance,” and “Making the World Safe for Homeschooling.” Chris has served as an Elder at Faith Church Kingstowne since 2011; he most recently served as Executive Officer from 2023-2025. Chris and Monica, with their daughter Brianna and son-in-law Steve, started the nonprofit American History Education Project in 2020 to help the next generation of homeschooling parents (and grandparents!) teach and share their values with their children. Together they developed a free American History curriculum built around Great Picture Books to help parents introduce their young children to the ideals and blemishes of our history. Professionally, Chris spent most of his career in software engineering management. His last 12 years he served as Chief Operating Officer for i360, the leading provider of political data and technology for Republicans. |
