Allan Ward holds Master’s Degrees in Music Education from Eastman School of Music and Syracuse University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from University of Colorado at Boulder. After teaching K-8 general music, band, orchestra, and choir in public and private schools, Allan transitioned to teaching private lessons to K-12 students, culminating in over 25 years of music teaching experience. Allan is currently the Principal Percussionist in the Royal Hawaiian Band, and regularly performs and records with ensembles throughout the United States, including Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, Hawaii Opera, Pacific Harp Project, Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra, Jon Seiger and the All-Stars, Cashback, New Energy Big Band, Little Big Band, Geva Theatre, Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, and North State Symphony.
