Alongside her husband, Mark, Alice began their homeschooling journey in the “pioneer days” of the early 1980s, raising and educating their seven children—both biological and adopted—through a Christ-centered approach. As co-founder of Rhino Technologies, established in 2000 with her family, Alice has provided audio and video recording, production, and duplication services to homeschool conferences nationwide, connecting with thousands of families, speakers, and organizers. These relationships have fueled her passion for mentoring parents, emphasizing vulnerability and transparency about the challenges and triumphs of homeschooling. Her workshops at Great Homeschool Conventions focus on practical topics, such as navigating the HUGE vendor hall that is overflowing with curriculum and resources, choosing the right curriculum, and discerning whether a child’s struggles stem from learning challenges or lack of motivation. In 2024, Alice returned to the classroom to complete her Master of Psychology degree, further honing her skills to advise homeschooling families through her family and life coaching business, Speak-Easy.
