Jeff Thompson

Jeff is a lifelong missionary who began his ministry in Vienna and Berlin smuggling bibles behind the Iron Curtain. He contracted with the Russian government for 8 years preaching the Gospel in Russian youth prisons before being arrested and deported in 2008. After evacuating his staff from Kyiv, Ukraine in March 2022 when the full-scale war started, he continues to aid those suffering in the Donbas war zone of Ukraine. Today, Jeff leads the efforts of Mercy Projects working with at-risk youth in Ukraine and Kosovo, and a sustainable farming project in Armenia helping refugees from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He and his wife Paula are from southern California, have been married 44 years, and have 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
