Great Homeschool Conventions SpeakerJohn De Gree
John De Gree was born and raised in Southern California. He studied at the University of Redlands, CA., then in Austria, Germany, and Czechoslovakia in the early 1990s. One of 11 children, John partly credits conversations with his Dad and siblings for the development of his Socratic discussion curriculum. After the fall of Communism in Czechoslovakia, John met his wife Zdenka. They married, worked and lived in Turkey and in Europe for five years. John and Zdenka home schooled their 7 children, have been married for 30 years, and are happy grandparents. Since establishing Classical Historian in 2011, John has been busy developing history curriculum and games, speaking at conventions, and running the business. He is thankful for the opportunity to work with home school families and improve history education in America.
