We created the Real Mom Tour just for you. Join us for a night of real encouragement (and maybe some comic relief) as we kick back and dive deep into the things you need to hear most.
Be encouraged as we chat about:
Finding contentment in the age of homeschool social media (or how to be happy staying in your lane).
How you can fall more in love with homeschooling right now, without adding more to your to-do list or somehow becoming a supermom.
Meeting your kids where they are and enjoying them -- without sacrificing their education in the process.
Plus snacks, games (nothing weird -- pinky promise!), and a ton of surprises only Colleen, Sarah, and Pam could dream up.
This ain’t your mama’s convention event. Join us!
Tickets - only $3 / person, thanks to the generous financial support of Medi-Share
$5/person at the door

Slugs & Bugs LIVE in Concert: Faith. Family. Funny. (Randall Goodgame)
Friday | 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Slugs & Bugs LIVE is an unforgettable concert for families. Specifically, it is a joyful, gospel-filled, life-celebrating, interactive musical experience featuring animated videos, energetic vocals, and tasty piano, guitar and mandolin solos!
As parents, there is nothing more important that the training of our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, Jesus Christ. One of the most significant ways we can do this is by helping them memorize scripture… to “hide it in their heart.” And, Slugs & Bugs is such an outstanding way to accomplish this… we count it a great honor to be able to introduce Slugs & Bugs to the homeschooling moms, dads and families that attend our regional GHC homeschool conventions.

SLUGS & BUGS – Live! (In concert)
Faith. Family. Funny.
Slugs & Bugs rejects the compartmentalization of life into sacred and secular and declares with great gusto that Christ is the head of all things. He is the head of kite-flying and river-floating, ice-fishing and sky-diving, nap-taking, bike-riding, belly-laughing and taking out the trash.
Our small hope is that the joyful creativity of Slugs & Bugs music will delight your whole family.
Our grand hope is that Slugs & Bugs kids would find it natural to remember Jesus in their homework, in their friendships, and one day, in the parenting of our grandchildren.
In fact, here’s a note from Laura G. who found Slugs & Bugs music for the first time at the Midwest Homeschooling Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio:
"I have a 3 kids, ages 12, 10 and 5. The only time we really listen to music in CD version is when we are in the car. At first my husband and the tweens were not so sure and kind of groaned when I'd put "children's" CDs in, but before you know it they were all singing along and admitting they loved the music. (How could you NOT?! 😊 ) My husband specializes in doing the monster and Count Dracula voices in the 10 Commandments.
Fast forward to this week. We drove down to southwest Florida (2 eight-hour days one way) and are now on our way back. We have had difficulty finding Christian radio, so these Slugs and Bugs CDs have been played nearly continuously!! My 5 year old son is singing along with every song and has declared he LOVES Slugs and Bugs! It warms my heart to hear him memorizing God's Word, and honestly, we are too right along with him. I have your music ringing through my head all the time now."
Slugs & Bugs is the Pixar of kids music.

“Sing the Bible” is perfect for our family because it is all about God’s Word, but it is also hilarious! This is a favorite road trip CD for our family!

Randall Goodgame is a funny, funny guy. Slugs & Bugs is good stuff!

Grand Finale - In the Presence of My Enemies - Missionary Gracia Burnham
Saturday | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Homeschool Missionary Mom Held Captive: In the Presence of My Enemies as told by Gracia Burnham.
On May 27, 2001, while celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary at Dos Palmas Resort off Palawan Island, rebels from the Abu Sayyaf Group seized the Burnhams and several other guests of the resort, and took them as hostages to Basilan Island. In the ensuing 376 days of captivity they endured incredible hardship and emotional fatigue. On June 7, 2002, Martin was killed in a firefight between the Philippine military and the Abu Sayyaf Group. Gracia was wounded in the leg but was freed.
Gracia now resides in Rose Hill, Kansas. She is the author of the book In the Presence of My Enemies, which gives a gripping account of their year of terror in the Philippine jungle. In her second book, To Fly Again, Gracia reflects on the lessons and spiritual truths learned while in the jungle. She is a popular and engaging speaker in high demand at churches, colleges, and conferences across the United States. She is also the Founder and Director of The Martin & Gracia Burnham Foundation.
Tickets to Gracia's special event are complimentary due to a generous gift from our sponsor Medi-Share. We do ask that you still register all in your party if you plan to attend.
