This is the first of four sessions on the 7 Traits of Effective Parenting. You can attend 1 or all 4 to gain practical parenting tools. The 7 traits are based off of extensive research, scripture, and more than 20 years of counseling families. The 7 traits (Adaptability, Respect, Intentionality, Steadfast Love, Boundaries, Grace and Forgiveness, and Gratitude) are designed to help you effectively and confidently step into the transformational parent-child relationship.
In Deuteronomy 6, God tells parents to love the Lord with ALL their heart, soul, and might and from that fullness to pass on His statutes and wisdom to the next generation throughout day-to-day interactions. What does a 7 traits parent look like?
In this introductory workshop, you will learn about parenting through the lens of “invitation” and will learn about the 1st trait of the 7 Traits of Effective Parenting, Adaptability. You will also get a quick overview of the extensive research and Biblical foundations surrounding the 7 Traits of Effective Parenting and begin to learn about what it takes to raise a contributor rather than a consumer child. This workshop will provide you with practical parenting tools to learn ways to implement the 7 Traits of Effective Parenting. I hope to save the last 10 minutes for questions.
