About This Workshop

The college admissions process can be one of the most complicated and stress-inducing experiences for students and parents alike. First, there's the search for a set of right-fit colleges and universities. Then, there's the complex feat of gathering and organizing the various requirements and deadlines. Next, you have the application process itself, which takes an incredible amount of self-reflection and work on the part of the student as well as plentiful encouragement from the parents. And, in the years leading up to all of this, your student must receive the academic preparation and guidance he or she needs in order to access and excel in a fitting college major and to ultimately thrive in his or her chosen profession. All of this is a lot, but it doesn't have to be too much to handle, especially if you have the correct perspective. In this workshop, you'll learn how to approach and prepare for your student's higher education and future career by focusing first on his or her gravitas. Gravitas is a deep awareness and confidence in one's God-given identity and giftings and a drive to use one's unique purpose to influence others for good. This session will be particularly helpful for the parents of 6th-12th graders.
