Living Out Civic Responsibility with Christ at the Center
As we engage in the civic sphere, we must remember that political involvement is not merely something we do as “good American citizens.” We are to walk with God, commune with Him daily, and act in obedience to His sovereign will. This is not about securing comfort for ourselves. Rather, our aim is to be a blessing to others, to be salt and light in a dark world, and to glorify God through our public service. Civic engagement becomes meaningful when it reflects the love of Christ and is motivated by our desire for others to know Him. It’s a reminder of who we are in Christ and what He calls us to as His representative ambassadors in a hurting world.
