| Bringing the Past to Life—One Adventure at a Time, epitomizes the passion and writing career of Marie Sontag. She has spoken at many teacher conferences throughout her fifteen years of teaching middle school and high school, including Duke University and the Technische Universität Wien in Vienna. Now, as an award-winning author, she writes fulltime and presents workshops for students and adults on various writing topics, such as how to write what editors want to publish. She also gives author visits where she’s always accompanied by her authenticated artifacts of a bronze dagger, alabaster jar, and Phoenician coin. She holds a BA in social science, and an MA and Ph.D. in education. A teacher in California for over fifteen years, she now resides in Texas where she can be found playing superheroes or princesses with her grandchildren. |
