Marlene Dandler is an entrepreneur, advocate, mother, and the founder and CEO of Seashore Academy. Her mission revolves around building a freedom-minded community that offers meaningful educational choices for families. Established in 2012, Seashore Academy boasts two locations in Southern California, delivering premium, high-quality academic programs that combine the flexibility of homeschooling with the excellence of private education.
Dandler's impressive educational background includes degrees from Dartmouth College, where she studied at the Freie Universität in Berlin, and Beijing Normal University in Beijing. At Dartmouth, she served as a German language instructor under the guidance of the creator of the Rassias Method, a groundbreaking language immersion technique employed by the Peace Corps. This innovative approach to rapid, effective language learning underpins Seashore Academy’s language immersion programs, which currently offer Mandarin and Spanish education. Since 2011, Dandler has been a staunch advocate for bilingual education.

Her educational philosophy extends to holistic health and wellness, with all Seashore campuses adopting a device-free, screen-free environment. This approach nurtures creativity and intellectual curiosity, fostering collaborative learning within a rigorous academic framework. The academy emphasizes financial literacy, entrepreneurship, language immersion, and personalized educational experiences.

Active in the entrepreneurial community, Dandler is a member of the Entrepreneurship Organization of OC and Vistage, and she volunteers with organizations such as ICAN and KLove. She has also served as the co-president of the Dartmouth Club of OC.
