A veteran home educator with four of her five children graduated, Katherine Burch has coached speech for over a decade in multiple competitive leagues. Katherine currently serves as club leader and speech coach for St. Louis Speech and Debate which has trained home-schooled students in forensics for over 15 years. Her passion is using competitive speech and debate to equip Christian young people to advance the Gospel in their everyday encounters. As a former high school competitor herself, Katherine believes that competitive forensics is excellent preparation for life and higher education; it equips young people to communicate clearly, logically, and persuasively. Katherine holds a BA in International Studies and has lived in multiple states from Maryland to Alaska. She and her husband Michael currently live in Missouri with two of their five children.
