After 15 years of homeschooling her two children from kindergarten through 12th grade, Julia began serving in ministry at her church in Upland, California, utilizing her degree in Speech Communication as the children's ministry curriculum and volunteer coordinator and is the editor of the quarterly church newsletter and monthly children's ministry newsletter. Since 2003, Julia has been an independent educational consultant with HomeWorks by Precept, a marketing company featuring BJU Press, a publisher of Christian textbooks and video course resources for homeschoolers. Her greatest joy is knowing that she and her husband have laid a foundation of excellence in education with a strong biblical worldview for their adult children. Their daughter graduated in 2017 from Cal Poly Pomona and is married and lives in Indiana. Their son completed his Associate of Science in Architectural Technology-Design Concentration and is currently enrolled at Cal Poly Pomona, completing his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design.
