I have been a high school chemistry teacher for 25 years. Even though I'm a public school teacher, my wife and I homeschooled our four children K-12. Over 20 years ago I pioneered the guided inquiry method of teaching in my classroom. Students loved it and chemistry enrollment at my school tripled!
