About

Holly Hightchew loves watching children learn. It is for this very reason that she selected to homeschool her own three children. It was only after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with profound dyslexia that Holly geared her passion and training to helping children with dyslexia successfully learn to read. She now works with dyslexic students and their parents providing reading assessments and training at The Learning Curve in Union, Ky. She helps train parents, teachers and tutors to work with children using the Orton-Gillingham method. Holly now works as the Academic Director of Dyslexia Camp at Potter’s Ranch. Additionally, she is a Certified Barton Tutor.

In addition to helping children with dyslexia, Holly teaches composition and literature classes and psychology classes to homeschooled high school students. She also helps prep homeschool students, including those with dyslexia, to take the ACT and SAT tests. Holly’s love of reading is obvious as she volunteered as a trustee for her local library for eight years and helped secure funds for the addition of a new children’s wing. Her passion for children can be found in the many summers she served as a counselor at an area Christian camp. Before having own her children, Holly worked in the steel industry as a Human Resources and Public Relations Manager. She and her husband, Bob, have been happily married for 30 years, and along with their three children, live in Warsaw, Kentucky.
