Holly Britton, M.Ed., is a curriculum and instruction specialist with teaching experience in all grades K-8. Holly grew up in San Diego and graduated from UC Davis in 1992. There she gave her heart to the Lord and her hand to her best friend, Zach. She rides, writes, and resides in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas with her husband and a myriad of animals.
Educating her children was Holly’s passion and career for over 20 years. She is an author and conference speaker and a former home educator of four now-adult children. As a teacher, speaker, and author of The Planned Approach: A Home Educator’s Guide to Designing the School Year, Holly finds joy in sharing her discoveries and experiences with other families.
In 2020, Holly founded Squiggle Squad Handwriting. Squiggle Squad is a stroke-by-stroke, engaging, and effective way to teach little learners how to write letters and numbers. Squiggle Squad is not about perfecting penmanship, but rather about giving kids a necessary tool for learning and communicating. Through this program, Holly hopes to renew the connection that handwriting instruction has to improving literacy and creating happy learners for life.
