| Dr. Christopher Rupe, president of Back2Genesis, holds a biology degree from SUNY Geneseo and a Ph.D. in geology (earth science) from Loma Linda University, where he specialized in sedimentary geology and presented his research at the Geological Society of America. Since his early twenties, Chris has spoken widely on creation/evolution across educational, media, and church venues. In 2009, he felt led by the Lord to start Back2Genesis, a non-profit ministry focused on creation apologetics. From 2011–2018, he served as a Research Associate at FMS Foundation, collaborating with former atheist and geneticist Dr. John Sanford of Cornell University on numerical simulations addressing Haldane’s Dilemma and the fixation of deleterious mutations. In addition to his research in the area of human population genetics, Chris spent several years studying the so-called hominin fossils, aka “ape-men”, and coauthored the book Contested Bones with Dr. Sanford. Chris has published numerous articles on topics ranging from pseudogenes and bacterial evolution to the origin of life and the fossil record. |
