Dennis DiNoia, affectionately known as “Mr. D” to his students, is a seasoned educator, author, and curriculum developer with over 35 years of experience in education. Holding an M.A. in Education from the University of South Florida and a Florida State Certification as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher since 1988, DiNoia has become a leading figure in the homeschooling community through his innovative Mr. D Math program. Based in Florida, he has worked with students across the United States and five continents, earning recognition in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for his engaging, student-centered approach. A father of two homeschooled children, DiNoia combines his expertise with a passion for fostering independently responsible learners.
DiNoia’s journey began as a public-school math teacher, where he noticed students often memorized facts without truly understanding them. This insight led him to private tutoring and eventually to creating Mr. D Math in response to a parent’s plea to write his own curriculum.
