The Very Best, Hands-On, Kinda Dangerous Family Devotions

Teaching our kids about God and the principles he’s given us to live by…we know we need to do this—but how do we do it in a way where kids will listen—even teens? Tim will demonstrate practical, powerful object lessons in this “how-to” and “hands-on” session so that you leave equipped to do the job at home—even if you’ve tried and failed before. Simple things like a microwave, leaf blower, toaster, and more will be used to teach lessons kids will never forget!

Here are some things we’ll cover…

  • · The kind of character we want our kids to develop… and how to help them get there.
  • · The practical mandate to train our kids spiritually and how it protects our kids
  • · 4 positive payoffs to teaching our kids spiritually
  • · 8 live demos of object lessons you can do—now
  • · 13 tips maximize your effectiveness in teaching the kids… & to keep you from quitting

MORE of the Very Best, Hands-On, Kinda Dangerous Family Devotions

Basically a continuation of the earlier workshop, we’ll demo at least 8 more object lessons you can do with your kids to teach them truth and character in ways where they’ll listen—even teens. We’ll use easy-to-get materials to teach lessons your kids will never forget. Not a repeat of Family Devotions That Blow Up the Box, but an extension of it.

Here are some things we’ll cover …

8-10 live object lesson demos you can use now. Different from the demos in the Very Best, Hands-On, Kinda Dangerous Family Devotions workshop. (Proposed Workshop #3)

Title: Write Powerful Fiction… Secrets to Building Strong Starts

Description of Session: So you want to write fiction? Great. Learn practical tips and techniques from a published author. In our world of shrinking attention spans, what do we need to do in our fiction to grab our reader—and not let him go? We’ll look at secrets to great openings—and how to create yours.

We’ll do a little Q & A as well, as time permits. Workshop is ideally suited—and must be limited to parents and junior or senior high school students (not younger) who have a desire to write.

Strengthen Your Fiction . . . Secrets to using “Show Don’t Tell”

The more you learn to show your story instead of just telling it, the stronger your manuscript will be. Exactly how do you do that? I won’t just tell you, I’ll show you!
